9B1-4 The tumor shows predominantly chordoid histology; only focal areas appear fibrous/fibroblastic. The tumor exhibits multiple atypical features, including hypercellularity, macronucleoli, small cell change, and limited spontaneous necrosis (broad areas of bland necrosis also abound, consistent with history of gamma knife radiosurgery at this site). Brain invasion is multifocal and unequivocal. Invasion of blood vessel lumina by tumor is widespread; invasion of Virchow-Robin spaces is also noted.
