There is strong and nearly diffuse vimentin positivity. EMA expression is patchy and there is strong nuclear expression for progesterone receptor in a large subset of tumor cells. The stain for S-100 protein highlights adjacent fragments of peripheral nerve although the tumor cells are negative. The tumor cells are also negative for cytokeratin, CEA, CAM5.2, CK903, and CD10. The GFAP stain is negative and fails to show any adjacent brain parenchyma. ---- Comment: The morphologic, histochemical, and immunohistochemical features are consistent with the diagnosis of clear cell meningioma, WHO grade II.
