Reactivity for progesterone receptor is identified in most tumor cell nuclei. ---- Not shown: Immunohistochemically stained sections show reactivity for S-100 protein in a small subset of scattered tumor cells. Reactivity for epithelial membrane antigen has a weak and patchy distribution within the tumor tissue. Reactivity for collagen IV highlights the basement membranes of blood vessels throughout the tumor tissue and does not show a pericellular pattern to suggest deposition of basement membranes by tumor cells. Nuclear reactivity for proliferation marker Ki67 is present at low frequency throughout the tumor tissue, ranging up to 0.5%, counted focally. This histological/immunohistochemical pattern is consistent with meningioma, WHO grade I.
