3A3 Meningioma, papillary & rhabdoid (Case 3) H&E 14.jpg
3A3-7 Tumor cell density is moderate to high. Perivascular pseudorosettes and pseudopapillary formations are common. Mitoses are identified and number 4/10 high power fields at maximum (2007 specimen). Tumor cells contain abundant well delineated eosinophilic cytoplasm. The tumor cells involved in the perivascular pseudorosettes have a broad based attachment to their respective blood vessels and accordingly take on a cuboidal to columnar morphology. Nuclei are round to oval; nucleoli are somewhat distinct and the chromatin pattern varies from bland to vesicular. Nuclear pseudoinclusions are noted.
