A collagen IV stain highlights the perivascular basement membrane but is negative around individual tumor cells. (Collagen IV IHC) ---- Ancillary data (not shown): Tumor cells are immunoreactive for CD99. ---- FISH was utilized with DNA probes localizing to the NF2 gene, the DAL-1 gene, 1p32, 1p36, 14q13, and 14q32. Although deletions at these sites are common in meningiomas, no deletions were identified in this particular case which does not entirely exclude the possibility of meningioma. Therefore, based on morphology and immunohistochemical results, the diagnosis of papillary meningioma WHO Grade 2.
