The reticulin pattern fails to label individual cells as might be expected in a solitary fibrous tumor. ---- Ancillary data (not shown): Per accompanying report, the tumor cells are positive for epithelial membrane antigen and progesterone receptor; a glial fibrillary acidic protein immunostain is negative in tumor cells. ---- Comment: The overall findings are consistent with an atypical meningioma that has prominent areas of papillary
phenotype (WHO grade 2).
