12B1-3 Hematoxylin and eosin stained sections show a moderately cellular meningioma with abundant psammoma bodies. The tumor cells have round to oval nuclei with vacuoles and pseudo-inclusions. The tumor shows whorled growth pattern mostly with few areas of sheeting. Some tumor areas show vacuolated stroma with increased cytoplasm. Mitoses are not very frequent (2/10 HPF). No necrosis or brain invasion is seen.
