The specimen shows hyalinized and focally calcified whorls of polygonal epithelioid to elongated tumor cells with numerous psammoma bodies. ---- Not shown: The tumor cells are strongly and diffusely positive for progesterone receptor (PR) and show a low Ki-67 proliferative index of 1.3%. The histomorphologic and immunophenotypic characteristics are diagnostic of meningioma, psammomatous subtype, WHO Grade I.
