Case 9 History ---- The patient is a 59 year old woman with prior history of breast cancer was found to have a foramen magnum dural base tumor. Operative procedure: Posterior fossa craniotomy for resection of tumor. ---- 9A1-4 This dural based tumor is composed of spindle and oval cells with vesicular nuclei, indistinct nucleoli and eosinophilic cytoplasm. Numerous laminated calcified structures consistent with psammoma bodies are present. There is more tumor in this example of psammomatous meningioma than in the suggested in the WHO CNS Tumor 2021 Bluebook presentation of the entity but the calcifications vary throughout the neoplasm.
