Washington University Experience | NEOPLASMS (MENINGIOMA) | Rhabdoid | 23E Meningioma, rhabdoid (Case 23) Ki67 20X 1
There is modestly increased proliferative activity with a MIB-1 labeling index of 10-15%. (Ki67 IHC) ---- Based upon the histological findings, we have designated this tumor as atypical (grade 2) rather than rhabdoid (grade 3). However, the latter feature and the increased proliferative index may portend a more aggressive phenotype. Sections of right squamous temporal bone, right lateral sphenoid wing, right orbital roof (microscopic focus), right floor of middle fossa and right anterior clinoid process also show involvement by atypical meningioma with focal rhabdoid features.
