Case 25 History ---- The patient was a 59 year old woman with an olfactory groove mass. Clinical diagnosis: Meningioma. Operative procedure: Craniotomy. ---- 25A1-3 Sections show a meningeal neoplasm composed of predominantly meningothelial morphology, with focal whorls (<10%), focal rhabdoid features (5- 10%), and a small component with chondroid features (<1%). The meningothelial areas show focal small cell change, hypercellularity, a sheeting architecture, in a background with broad collagen bands. There are multiple areas of tumor necrosis.
