A significant component shows rhabdoid morphology and is composed of oval to elongated cells with abundant, eccentrically placed eosinophilic cytoplasm. Xanthomatous metaplasia and areas of micronecrosis are also apparent. Despite the atypical and rhabdoid features, mitoses are hard to find.
