Case 1 History ---- The patient was a 69 year old woman with a hyperdense extra-axial lesion with calcifications in the left middle cranial fossa, causing mass effect on the pons and left temporal lobe, with extensive vasogenic edema. Operative procedure: Resection of mass. ---- 1A1-3 MRI studies: 1A1 The extent of edema associated with the tumor mass is surprisingly large in this FLAIR scan.
