5A1 Meningioma, secretory (Case 5) H&E 2
Case 5 History ----- The patient was a 68 year old man with a right temporal tumor. Operative procedure: Right temporal craniotomy for resection of tumor. ----- 5A1,2 The majority of tumor cells contain round to oval nuclei and abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm. Many of the nuclei have clear holes and nuclear cytoplasmic pseudoinclusions. Scattered pseudopsammoma bodies and hyalinized vessels are present. Atypical features are not noted. Only rare mitotic figures are seen and there is no tumor necrosis.
