Pseudopsammoma bodies stain strongly with PAS ---- Ancillary data (not shown) Immunohistochemical stains for progesterone receptor show diffuse strong positive staining in tumor cell nuclei and membrane staining with EMA. The Ki-67 proliferation index is low. ----Pseudopsammoma bodies show reactivity for carcinoembryonic antigen and cytokeratin CAM 5.2. Sections of the right orbital apex bone and right anterior clinoid process, show fragments of hyperostotic bone with foci of tumor infiltration. ---- The histomorphologic and immunohistochemical stains are consistent with a meningioma, WHO grade 1.
