Washington University Experience | NEOPLASMS (MENINGIOMA) | Secretory | 8B2 Meningioma, secretory (Case 8) 1.jpg
8B2,3 This tumor is composed of cells with relatively uniformly sized, round-to-oval nuclei, finely speckled chromatin, inconspicuous nucleoli, occasional intranuclear clearings and pseudoinclusions, and variably clear cytoplasm. The cells are arranged in a vaguely whorled architecture. Numerous pseudopsammoma bodies are noted, along with occasional microcalcifications. Mitotic figures are rare. There is no evidence of necrosis, loss of architecture ('sheeting'), macronucleoli, or hypercellularity.
