Case 13 History ---- The patient is a 48 year old woman with uniformly enhancing dura-based mass over the left occipital convexity. ---- 13A1,2 Sections of tumor resected from the left convexity show a bland, predominantly spindle cell lesion with tightly whorled architecture and a multifocal epithelioid appearance involving the dura. There are no prominent intranuclear inclusions. Mitotic figures number fewer than 1/10HPF. While several small foci of necrosis are seen, there is also evidence of tumor embolization, with foreign material found in a medium to large vessel of the dura.
