Case 18 History ---- The patient was a 57-year-old male with a newly discovered sacrococcygeal mass. Operative procedure: Lumbar decompression and distal sacrectomy ---- 18A1-6 Hematoxylin and eosin stained sections of sacrum show a heterogeneous neoplasm with lobulated architecture composed of cartilaginous-appearing areas as well as epithelioid cells with abundant clear to eosinophilic cytoplasm, consistent with a chondroid chordoma.
