Case 5 History ---- The patient is a 79 year old woman with a sacral mass, s/p needle biopsy 6/12/2009. ---- 5A1,2 Sections of tumor reveal a low to moderately cellular neoplasm with mixed epithelioid and minor chondroid features. In some areas, the tumor is arranged in ribbons of epithelioid cells with moderate quantities of eosinophilic cytoplasm and occasional clear bubbly vacuoles (physaliphorous cells). Mitotic figures are hard to find and there is no evidence of tumor necrosis. (H&E)
