10A6,7 Higher magnification of the tumor within the 3rd ventricle shows a routine hemangioblastoma consisting of numerous capillary-sized vessels interspersed with nests of stromal cells with foamy cytoplasm. The nuclei of many of the tumor cells show a moderate to marked degree of pleomorphism and hyperchromaticity, and scattered giant tumor cells are seen. However, no mitoses were identified
