18B2 Hemangioblastoma (Case 18) Inhibin 3.jpg
Immunoreactivity for inhibin-alpha stains vacuolated stromal tumor cells (Inhibin-alpha IHC). ---- Not shown: A stain for CD34 highlights the numerous, predominantly capillary sized blood vessels within the tumor. However, tumor cells are negative. The GFAP stain highlights the gliotic surrounding tissue, but shows minimal staining within tumor cells. The tumor cells are immunoreactive for both S-100 protein and neuron-specific enolase (NSE).
