The tissue consists of a highly vascular tumor with a large cystic cavity in the center. The tumor appears fairly cellular due to numerous small capillary sized vessels. The intervening stromal (tumor) cells are foamy to eosinophilic with indistinct cytoplasmic membranes, vesicular ovoid nuclei and inconspicuous nucleoli. There is mild to moderate pleomorphism in the tumor cells. However, mitotic figures and necrosis are not seen.
