Washington University Experience | NEOPLASMS (MESENCHYMAL, NON-MENINGOTHELIAL) | Hemangioblastoma - Von Hippel Lindau | 19A3 Metastasis, renal (Case 19) H&E 2
This is a malignant neoplasm composed of tumor cells with irregular, hyperchromatic nuclei and predominantly clear cytoplasm in a vascular-rich background. The morphology is similar to the patient's prior resection specimen of the T8 paraspinal metastasis. These features are consistent with a metastatic carcinoma from the patient's known renal primary.
