The tumor cells are epithelioid, with large nuclei, hyperchromatic chromatin, occasional prominent nucleoli, and moderate amounts of eosinophilic cytoplasm, and are arranged in sheets, cords, and sometimes small nests. There are scattered mitotic figures.
