Case 28 History ---- The patient is a 40 year old man with a history of von Hippel-Lindau disease with multiple hemangioblastomas involving the brain, retina and kidney. Operative procedure: Right sub-occipital craniectomy and excision of brain tumor. ---- 28A Sections show a well-circumscribed, vascular neoplasm, consisting of cells with round to irregular, pleomorphic, bizarre nuclei and abundant foamy, eosinophilic to clear cytoplasm scattered in a background of numerous small vascular channels.
