Case 15 History ---- The patient was a 78 year old woman with a clinical history of recurrent intradural extramedullary hemangiopericytomas and is status post multiple spinal resections. Operative procedure: Intradural, intramural exophytic tumor. 15A1-3 Sections of the "recurrent hemangiopericytoma" show a cellular neoplasm composed of cells with uniform, round to ovoid, hyperchromatic nuclei and scant cytoplasm, arranged in nests separated by fibrous septae and elongated vessels. The vessels show some branching and are staghorn in appearance. Mitoses are easily identified with 14/10HPF.
