16C1 Hemangiopericytoma, Grade 3 (Case 16) H&E WM
16C1-6 This is a highly cellular tumor composed of haphazardly oriented, mildly pleomorphic round to oval cells with abundant slit-like vascular spaces and occasional staghorn vessels. Individual tumor cells, although relatively monotonous, have moderate cytologic atypia including irregular nuclear membranes, vesicular chromatin, and occasional presence of cherry red nucleoli. Mitoses are variable and reach 7/10HPF. Focal necrosis is present.
