In some areas the tumor cells are separated into individual cells forming an interlacing network among the fibers of collagen. Some portions of the tumor are more cellular and have oval nuclei. Very small vessels are seen in association with rare branching vascular spaces with flattened endothelium. There are very few mitoses.
