6B1-3 H&E preparations show a dural based neoplasm with very dense cellularity, harboring minimal stroma and numerous staghorn-type vessels. Most tumor cells are short spindled with oval nuclei and eosinophilic cytoplasm. Mitoses focally reach a count of ~19/10 HPF. Scattered karyorrhectic debris and occasional focus of incipient necrosis are also identified.
