The frontal lobe showed neuronal loss, gliosis, and superficial microvacuolation appreciated in the precentral gyrus but also in the temporal and parietal lobes. Several TDP43-positive cytoplasmic inclusions and an occasional dystrophic neurite are seen but rare In number. There are patches of diffuse beta-amyloid plaques, but no neuritic plaques are seen.
