11A1 AD (Case 11) 2
11A1,2 The cortex of the cerebrum shows narrowing of gyri and widening of sulci. Only the occipital lobe is not involved in this change. At the undersurface of the cerebrum the atrophy involves the orbital surface of the frontal lobe and at the temporal pole of the temporal lobe where a knife-like atrophy is present. Not shown: The amygdaloid nucleus is markedly atrophic where it bulges into the temporal pole.
