1A2-5 Coronal sections of the cerebral hemispheres show the lateral ventricles including the temporal horns are dilated and have blunted angles. There is a thinned cortical ribbon. The gyri are narrowed and sulci widened consistent with atrophy. These changes are particularly prominent in the frontal and temporal lobes.
