Glial inclusions were patchy in the white matter. (PHF IHC) ---- Not shown: There is severe neuronal loss and astrocytosis in part of the hippocampal CA1 and CA4 subfields of the hippocampus and subiculum, consistent with hippocampal sclerosis. There are no parenchymal beta-amyloid deposits or amyloid angiopathy; no neuritic plaques are present. No Pick bodies or Lewy bodies are seen.
