7A1-3 Coronal slicing revealed mild dilatation of the lateral ventricles with rounding of the angles; there was increased space in the inferior horn of the lateral ventricle and the hippocampus was small. The brainstem appeared unremarkable, specifically, the substantia nigra and the locus coeruleus appeared normally pigmented.
