5A2,3 Coronal sections of the cerebral hemispheres reveal a normal cortical ribbon, with the exception of a region of thinning and discoloration in the left frontal lobe. The underlying white matter in the left hemisphere appears attenuated in the face of marked ventricular dilatation. The ventricular system is dilated, the left more than the right.
