At autopsy, the weight of the unfixed brain was 1460g. The cortex shows mild atrophy involving the frontal lobes. The lateral ventricles show substantial dilatation and blunting of the temporal horns. ---- Not shown: Coronal sections of the brainstem demonstrate normal pigmentation of the substantia nigra (the locus ceruleus is not visible).
