2A1,2 At autopsy the fresh, unfixed-brain weighed 1130g. Macroscopic examination revealed mild to moderate generalized atrophy. Coronal slicing revealed mild to moderate generalized atrophy and dilatation of the lateral ventricle with rounding of its angles. There is an increase in space in the inferior horn of the left lateral ventricle and the hippocampus is shrunken.
