5A1-3 The weight of the unfixed brain is 1380g. The sulci appear mildly widened especially in the frontal and temporal lobe consistent with atrophy. Coronal sections of the cerebral hemispheres show mild thinning of cortical gray especially involving the frontal and temporal lobes. The right anterior horns of the lateral ventricles are moderately dilated and blunted (right > left). There is mild to moderate atrophy of the hippocampi bilaterally and some atrophy of the amygdala.
