6A1-3 At autopsy the weight of the unfixed brain was 1160g. The external surface of the left cerebral hemisphere showed mild cortical atrophy, particularly the frontal, parietal and temporal lobes. Coronal sections of the cerebral hemispheres showed gyral atrophy accompanied by blunting of the angles and dilatation of the lateral ventricles. The hippocampus and amygdala are mildly shrunken resulting a more substantial degree of temporal horn dilatation.
