At autopsy the weight of the unfixed brain was 1110g. The sulcal-gyral pattern is normal, but the cortex shows mild diffuse atrophy. Coronal sections of the left cerebral hemisphere confirm diffuse mild cortical atrophy with relatively unremarkable subcortical white matter.
