Does hydrocephalus ex vacuo pressure on the basal ganglia contribute to neuron loss and astrocytosis in underlying caudate and putamen? This case involves a 74yo female with severe hydrocephalus ex vacuo and a diagnosis of Alzheimer Disease Neuropathologic Change (A3B3C3) and no substantive contribution of any other neurodegenerative entities.
