1F2,3 Several magnifications of the gracile nuclei with impressive dystrophic involvement. The gracile nucleus can develop large numbers of spheroids with age or vitamin E deficiency, neither of which is relevant in this case. (H&E) Dense accumulations of spheroids were also present in the gracile, cuneate, accessory cuneate, and spinal nuclei of the trigeminal nerve.
