Case 6 History ---- The patient, a 71yo male noticed difficulty with handwriting in 1975 when he was 36 years old. In 2003, he noticed decreased right arm swing and he became slow and stiff. He had developed balance problems in the mid-1980s and started falling. Currently, he falls from his wheelchair several times per day. He developed tremors in both hands around 1981. He developed drug-induced dyskinesias at least 15 years ago. A couple of years after taking Sinemet he developed wearing-off. In 1993 he was hospitalized for hallucinations and paranoid delusions which improved after taking clozapine. He had bilateral subthalamic nucleus-deep brain stimulation.
