At autopsy, the fresh brain weighed 1280g. ---- 8A1-4 There was mild atrophy of the frontal lobes on external examination. Coronal slicing revealed mild dilatation of the left lateral ventricle and its inferior horn, indicating mild loss of brain parenchyma. The hippocampus appeared macroscopically of normal size and proportion.
