2A2 DLBD (Case 2) _4
2A2-4 Coronal sections of the cerebral hemispheres reveal mild sulcal widening, but an otherwise normal cortical ribbon, underlying white matter, basal ganglia, and thalamus. The ventricular system shows dilatation and blunting of the angles. The temporal horns of the lateral ventricles are also expanded. The hippocampi appear small, but at least the right amygdala, well visualized in the sections, appears of fairly normal size.
