Case 9 History ---- The patient was a 74yo male with a history of Parkinsonism stage V characterized by asymmetric rigidity, bradykinesia, postural instability, and asymmetric dystonia. He also had severe dementia with psychosis. Sinemet did not change his symptoms. He recognized his family members but was generally less lucid and had delusions and occasional visual hallucinations. On his last visit to the movement disorder clinic in June 1997 he was alert and oriented to person. His speech was hypophonic but his language was normal. His thought content was notable for continuing hallucinations. He died in September 1997.
