A whole mount of the precentral gyrus appears well preserved. (H&E) No cortical diffuse or compact BAP or NFT are in any other part of the sampled brain. There are numerous GCI throughout the white matter and the deeper layers of the cortex; they are most frequent in the precentral gyrus. Occasional neurons in the cortex show cytoplasmic and rare intranuclear inclusions.
