Sections of the thoracic spinal cord are suboptimal due to the damage during extraction. Where the intermediolateral column is visible (arrow) there does not appear to be significant neuronal loss. Immunohistochemical stain for phosphorylated synuclein were reported to show numerous synuclein positive inclusions in glia, predominantly in the white matter but also in the vicinity of the intermediolateral cell column.
