(Bielschowsky) ---- Not shown: Sections of cerebellum show marked loss of Purkinje cells, with Bergmann astrocytosis, a lesser degree of granule cell loss, and marked myelin and axon loss in the underlying white matter. The dentate nucleus, although gliotic, contains a well preserved complement of neurons.
