A neuron with a skein of ubiquitin immunoreactive elements (Ubiquitin IHC) ---- Not shown: Multiple sections of frontal, parietal, temporal and occipital neocortices show a well maintained complement of neurons. There are scattered diffuse plaques and rare neurofibrillary tangles in H&E and Bielschowsky stained material which did not meet the CERAD or Khachaturian criteria for the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease.
